The Dolphin Mall

There are rows of shopping ventures, from simple Florida souvenirs, to handcrafted artworks and pottery, to apparel, home décor, and well-known retail chains with big name merchandise.

 

Also present are several restaurants in a luxurious food court, a spacious movie theatre, and a full-sized, neon-lit bowling alley. The interior walkways serve as exercise paths for early risers, while there are several clean restrooms and rest benches throughout the mall.

 

Santa's Enchanted Forest

Take your kiddos to Santa’s Enchanted Forest on Southwest 40th Street is you enjoy seasonal displays. This park open from October to January with full-scale Christmas scenes, a petting zoo, thousands of Christmas lights, lots of yummy holiday-inspired foods, and a meet-and-greet with Santa. The average guests spend an hour or two perusing and playing on the fairgrounds

 

The Lantern Light Festival

Hundreds of businesses and local artists work with patience and creative flow for an entire year to come up with a beautiful, artistic lantern to light the streets in a parade.

 

From panda bears, to Christmas scenes, to classic Chinese dragons, you will see all kinds of floats—all colorful and well-lit. 

 

Before the lantern show at nightfall, there are plenty of family-friendly activities, like an acrobatic show, miniature golf, simulator rides, and face painting stations. There are also local food venders present, offering everything from caramel apples and cinnamon rolls, to pizza and Chinese noodles.

 

Area restaurants serve up a great variety of tasty meals

Brio Tuscan Grille is a big star in this small town. The restaurant serves up genuine, delicious Italian cuisine with gluten-free and vegetarian options for those with food allergies and preferences. Their fare is slightly upscale, served on and in custom plates and bowls with Brio engraved in them.

 

Located in the Dolphin Mall, Brio Tuscan Grille specializes in lunch and dinner with daily specials and group discounts. Some of their most popular dishes include beef carpaccio, chicken mezza limone, Amish chicken, and homemade, fruit-topped cheesecake. Be sure to sample a glass of homemade Sangria—yum.

 

There is a single hotel within the city limits of Sweetwater, but you can find other hotels within a short mile-long drive towards Miami.
